County Measure 1: Should the McLean County Board of Commissioners build a new courthouse? (The cost of the project is estimated to be 5.5 million dollars or less. The county would fund the construction costs by using up to 1 million dollars of county revenues or savings; revenues from grants; in kind services; and a loan such as a coal impact loan in an expected amount of 4.5 million dollars. Any loan would be repaid by county general funds and coal severance taxes in an annual amount of $320,000.00. The repayment of the loan may require a tax increase to replace lost revenues. Based on the present estimated mill value, the maximum annual cost to repay the loan would be $38.12 if your home is valued at $100 McLean
