Walsh County Home Rule: In June, 2006, Walsh County Measure #3 was passed by the voters of Walsh County, giving authority to the Board of County Commissioners to amend the Walsh County Home Rule Charter for the purpose of authorizing the combination, separation and/or elimination of county offices. By passing this Measure, the Walsh County Board of County Commissioners is authorized to proceed with a plan to combine numerous county offices into one office, and to change those offices from positions that are elected by the public to positions that are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners. The Board of County Commissioners has published a plan that calls for the combination of the offices of Walsh County - Walsh - Vote For 1 Follow This Contest
