County Measure 1: Shall the County of Benson, State of North Dakota, levy 10 additional mills under levy #1212 on the net taxable valuation of all properties in the county for costs involved with federal aid & farm-to-market roads in Benson County? This mill levy to have an effective date of August 1, 2010. Currently 5 mills being assessed does not cover the costs of maintenance and repair of federal aid & farm-to-market roads. The money received from the levy set out in County Measure No. 1 is to be used for construction, maintenance, graveling and match on designated federal aid and farm-to-market roads. County Measure 2: Shall the County of Benson, State of North Dakota, levy 1 additional mill on the net taxable valuation of all properties in the county for continued Extension Services (County Agent)? This mill levy to have an effective date of August 1, 2010. The County Agents Office provides the public with information and educational opportunities in the area of crop and livestock production, horticulture, 4-H/youth and family living. The current 3 mills does not cover the current Extension Service budget. Shall said measure be approved? - Benson - Vote For 1 Follow This Contest
